We need volunteers to help update our database, distribute ShalomBaby and ShalomDC welcome bags, follow-up with callers, and answer inquiries.  We can use you for as many hours as you would like, and will work around your schedule. The JCRC of Greater Washington seeks a part-time program assistant to support Northern Virginia/DC advocacy events, inter-group activities and other community relations efforts.

The JCRC is the public affairs and community relations arm of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and 210 local Jewish agencies and synagogues throughout the region.  

Responsibilities include: significant event planning, developing flyers and writing press releases, drafting our bi-monthly interfaith report and correspondence, and supporting other activities that promote our agency’s agenda.

The successful candidate will have strong writing, marketing and graphic art skills; be comfortable using constituent contact software and new internet marketing technologies; be detail oriented and self-motivated; understand the political process and be familiar with the Jewish community. 

Position is for 20 hours a week, flexible schedule possible.
